About the Author
Jacqueline "Kira" Hamilton is a lifelong computer programmer. She learned Perl and started writing CGI programs in the early days of the World Wide Web, and developed CGI scripts and applications for various internet companies. Between 1996 and 1999 she wrote the first edition of CGI Programming 101, which was published in December 1999. This was followed by CGI Programming 201 in 2002, and an updated second edition of CGI Programming 101 in 2004.
Kira has been doing iOS app development since 2008, and started working as a contract iOS Programmer with NASA in 2013. She developed several custom iPad applications that are currently in use on board the International Space Station.
She also continues developing web applications with Perl.
